I am a researcher. I hold a Ph.D. degree political science (Stanford 2006) and formerly served as an assistant professor at the Political Science department at University of California Riverside.  My academic work focuses on ethnic politics, gender equality, and political Islam in Turkey and also in other Muslim societies.
